God is Good, All the Time!

Let's review the goodness that the Lord has shown to this ministry in 2007.
  1. In January we started the child sponsorship program and have been able to bless 20 children, their families, and sponsors through that ministry. Also GAiN sent a 40 foot container filled with clothing, medical supplies, etc. that was distributed to the community in Chambrun.
  2. March began with a fund raiser for shoes and now no child can say they can't come to school because they have no shoes. Esperandieu found a used backhoe for sell and we were able to purchase it.
  3. A small group in Westfield, IN sent Easter packages to the children of the NCA and Esperandieu shared with them the story of the resurection of Jesus. Our short school bus was also purchased in Silver Lake, IN from Kerlins. Nehemiah Vision Ministries becomes official by setting up the corporation.
  4. We began our partnership with Kids Against Hunger (KAH) of central Indiana.
  5. The clearing of the property for the Nehemiah Campus begins and planning for the John David Webster Benefit Concert.
  6. Friday, July 13th marked an excited day for us when Esperandieu was interviewed on the Fox59 morning show and John David Webster performed in an amazing benefit that helped kick-off our fund raising efforts for the new school building project.
  7. Preparation of the third school year begins and many more children register in hopes they can get an education and a hot meal at school.
  8. A new partnership begins with Love A Child and Feed My Starving Children who help us with our feeding program and now allow us to give the children a hot meal everyday at school.
  9. Our first medical team visits in September and is able to give a basic health screening to the 85 children currently register in the NCA. Then a week later 35 more children register and our school is about to overflow.
  10. The Adopt A Classroom program starts and we are able to share with several local schools the needs of our students in Chambrun. The little yellow bus becomes blue, packed to the rim with all kids of goodies and shipped off to Haiti.
  11. OneGoodSock.org partners with us and is able to send many pairs of socks, underwear and some little wooden toys to help with gifts for Christmas. Our Adopt A Classroom schools help by collecting tooth brushes and paste, along with some school supplies and small gifts.
  12. November ended with some bad news when the community well broke and put many families to walking 30 minutes or more for their water. After several attempts to fix the well, we'd decided to put in a new well that could be used by the community but in the property of the Nehemiah Childrens Home.
  13. The Nehemiah Childrens Home is being established to help those students of the NCA who have no parent or legal guardian. The fence is being put into place around the property of the Nehemiah Campus.
  14. The Goat gifting program is initiated by some people wanting to help families in a third world country like Haiti. This was such a great idea and has blessed 24 children already who have received their goats. A second round of goats will be coming soon.
  15. Christmas arrives a little late but none the less the children are able to share in two different parties. One from a local Haitian company that catered in a wonderful dinner for the students and the other with the Christmas gifts that many people from the US were involved in collecting.

This is so wonderful looking back to seeing how God is blessing the people in Chambrun, Haiti through this ministry and how many of you have been blessed in helping. 2007 was a great year but... God is good all the time and 2008 has just begun.

Philippians 1:4-6
In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
