GAiN Provides Humanitarian Efforts to Chambrun
It was a beautiful day in Chambrun, Haiti. Not because of the warm sun, the bright blue sky, or the mountainous scenery but from the love of Christ that shined.Chambrun is at the foot of the mountains approximately 17km north of Haiti's capital of Port-au-Prince. In this small village you will find only a single well for everyone to gather their water. A few large shade trees where the people meet together are being cut down one-by-one to make charcoal for their only source of income.
Aaron Rogers and Peter Koteles of Global Aid Network Canada (GAiN) traveled to Chambrun with Esperandieu Pierre to distribute some of the food and clothing from the container that GAiN had shipped in December 2006. As the crowd grew, you could see the need of the people - men and women, young and old. The distribution was such a blessing to the people and an honor to God. Just like what is written in the bible - "He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God." Proverbs 14:31
We would like to thank GAiN for everything that they have done for this small community and the impact they have made on the lives of the people there.
