A Witness to the Love of Christ

Nehemiah Vision Ministries has been partnering with other missions around the globe in hope to see great things happen in the lives of the children of Haiti, but the real success has only come by trusting in Christ Jesus.

During the past few months, NVM has served as a bridge to help other ministries with a similar vision. In December, an organization from Trinidad, ITNAC (Is There Not A Cause), needed help clearing a container from customs in Port-au-Prince. The 40 foot container was filled with food, building and roofing materials for a church, school and medical supplies, and bedding for an orphanage in St. Marc, Haiti. NVM founder Espérandieu L. Pierre agreed to serve as the channel to help clear the container for ITNAC.

For this task to be accomplished, he needed to hire several men out of the crowd to help guard the items in the container. Everyone in the crowd wanted something from it because they were all in need. One of the workers at the port attempted to steal a bag of powdered milk but was caught. A port guard wanted him arrested but Espérandieu thought, "What would Jesus do?" and he pleaded for the man’s release. Espérandieu then shared with him the good news of Jesus Christ. The man explained to Espérandieu of his need to feed his family and that he hadn't been able to get any work at the port for several weeks. By God’s grace, the man was not only spared from being arrested but was given the same food that he tried to steal. His heart was broken and he wept.

Isn't it beautiful to see how God works, even in the midst of darkness and despair? We ask that you too might join us in the same partnership, so that NVM can continue to be a witness of the love of Christ in Haiti. Blessings!

Merry Christmas NCA

Hello and Merry Christmas,

The NCA celebrated their first Christmas on December 21st. The children and teachers were extrememly surprised when Espérandieu and Dianne showed up at the school in Chambrun with gifts for them all. These gifts were donated by a church, a small company and several individuals from Indiana.

Along with the gifts, they sang songs and had cookies with punch. It was a wonderful time for them all, especially since none of them have ever had a Christmas.
